M’KIS is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic educator to serve as Elementary School Principal beginning July 2026. This leadership role requires a proven track record of instructional and administrative leadership, a commitment to the IB framework, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s preferred)
Valid Principal Certificate or equivalent
Minimum of five years teaching experience, including middle or executive leadership roles
Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum and instruction in an IB context
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Leadership Areas:
Instructional Leadership
Lead, supervise, and evaluate instructional and co-curricular programs PK3–Grade 5
Support faculty in designing and delivering high-quality IB-aligned instruction
Monitor and improve student achievement across all ability levels
Oversee curriculum documentation, assessments, and standards
Faculty & Staff Leadership
Recruit, orient, and evaluate faculty and staff
Plan and coordinate professional development opportunities
Foster collaboration and positive communication within the school community
Student & Community Leadership
Promote a positive school culture that aligns with the school’s mission, vision, values, and IB Learner Profile
Supervise student well-being, behavior, and discipline in accordance with school policies
Engage with parents, families, and community partners to support student learning
Operational Leadership
Manage elementary school resources, including budgets, materials, and facilities
Maintain up-to-date school publications, handbooks, and schedules
Ensure compliance with school policies, government regulations, and board directives
Personal Qualities
Inspires trust, confidence, and respect from staff, students, and parents
Demonstrates strategic thinking, problem-solving, and initiative
Committed to fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented learning environment
