On Thursday, 23 April 2026, the Mont'Kiara International School (M'KIS) Middle School and High School band and strings students united for a spectacular spring performance in the M'KIS theater. Building on the momentum of the fall concerts, this showcase highlighted the students' incredible musical growth over the second semester.
The strings section performed a brilliant mix of classical pieces and modern arrangements. Highlights included Percy Grainger's "Molly on the Shore," and Karl Jenkins' "Palladio," which featured a stunning solo by violinist Robin Fu. Transitioning from classical to contemporary, M'KIS students also delighted audiences with pop favorites spanning decades past to the present day, including Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie's "We are the World", as well as Pasek and Paul's "A Million Dreams".

The M'KIS band students delivered powerful performances on the theme of cinematic music. They performed blockbuster hits such as John Williams' iconic "Raider's March" from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, a magical medley from all eight Harry Potter movies, and the dramatic themes of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Clarinet soloist Jason Hu's rendition of the soundtrack from Cinema Paradiso also captivated the audiences.

The amazing M'KIS Middle School and High School musicians came together and filled the stage for the grand finale of the performance. They combined their forces for a show-stopping performance of the theme from Jurassic Park, complete with a few surprise T-Rexes!
