Over the summer, the Mont’Kiara International School completed a significant renovation project in addition to regular maintenance of the school’s facilities. These campus upgrades demonstrate the school’s commitment to excellence as an international school of choice here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The renovations and upgrades include:
A Refreshed Canteen Area
The canteen dining area has been renovated with an expanded cashier zone, larger food service area, and upgraded kitchen equipment (including a gourmet coffee machine).
The renovations created more community space and service areas, including a:
Community function room;
School bookstore;
Staff lounge; and
4 new toilets.


Playground Areas
The school has renamed the playgrounds, with clarifying signage to be added:
Playground 1 (formerly known as the PreK-3 Playground)
Playground 2 (formerly known as the PreK-4 Playground)
Playground 3 (formerly known as the Upper Courtyard)
Playground 4 (formerly known as the Lower Courtyard Basketball Court)
Playground 5 (formerly known as the former Upper Field Playground)
Upgraded playground equipment at Playground 5, in addition to new colorful flooring and grass in Playgrounds 1 and 2.
Installed new flooring on the basketball Court at Playground 4.

Classroom Upgrades and Maintenance
Installed new vinyl flooring in selected classrooms to replace carpet flooring.
Replaced venetian blinds with roller blinds in selected classrooms for better light control.
Maintained all air conditioning units for optimal air quality and energy usage.
Built a new dividing wall with acrylic paneling in the Product Design Room for added student work safety.
Created a dedicated social media studio.
Sports Facilities
Installed a new dividing curtain and repainted the walls in Sports Hall 1 and Sports Hall 2.
Replaced artificial grass in Playground 3 (formerly known as the Upper Courtyard).

Outside Areas of Campus
Mowed, fertilized, and top-dressed the field for optimal grass growth to support Physical Education and Tiger sports for the 2025-2026 school year.
Trimmed trees and shrubs throughout the campus for safety and better visibility.
Built 13 new motorcycle parking bays at Gate 4.
Added new traffic signage around campus.
Additional Campus Upgrades
Installed a campus-wide lightning prediction system to enhance safety during storms.
Installed metal plates on drain covers.
In addition to installing 4 new toilets at the Canteen, 12 toilets and 6 changing rooms across the school were renovated, including upgrades to tiles and fixtures.
