It is a middle-income country with a manageable cost of living, and uses Ringgit Malaysia (RM or MYR) as its currency.The climate is largely predictable, and Malaysia enjoys tropical weather year-round. Due to its proximity to water, the climate is often humid. Malaysia also experiences a monsoon season; however this varies depending on the destination.
Culture and Language
Malaysia is a colorful, diverse country, with people of different backgrounds, beliefs, languages, and dialects. While Bahasa Melayu is the official language, most Malaysians can converse in English. Due to the diversity of cultures in Malaysia, families will experience a variety of holidays, traditions, and cultural celebrations.
Our Neighborhood
M’KIS is located in the green, safe, thriving suburb of Mont' Kiara, a primarily expatriate community. The Mont' Kiara neighborhood has all the amenities a family needs, including the option to walk to school and live close to friends and other international families. The neighborhood has everything you need: great dining and shopping destinations, easy access to walks and hikes, excellent fitness and exercise options, and more. Due to its strategic location, public transport and e-hailing services are easily obtained.

Proximity: Mont' Kiara is located within the city of Kuala Lumpur. It is an affluent suburb of residences, condominiums, shopping malls and amenities. It is home to an international community and an exemplary township that has a clean and safe image. Mont' Kiara International School (M'KIS) is located in the heart of Mont Kiara.
Housing type(s): Mont'Kiara mainly houses residential condominiums at reasonable costs . Many M'KIS families reside here.

Sri Hartamas / Desa Sri Hartamas
Proximity: 10 - 20 minutes drive to school and 30 - 40 minutes walk from school

Damansara Heights
Proximity: 10–30 minutes drive to school, vehicle required. Traffic jams in the mornings and evenings.
Housing type(s): Mostly bungalows, as well as link houses and condominiums. There are storey linked houses, semi detached houses. There are some M'KIS families who live here.
Housing type(s): C3-storey linked houses, semi-detached, and condominiums. Fewer M’KIS families live here than other areas, but a few teachers have selected to stay in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and Bandar Utama.
