The recent Tiger Tracks event brought the school community together in an exciting display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 5 participated in a variety of events, including long jump, shot put, javelin, sprints, relays, and hurdles. The excitement was palpable as students cheered each other on, making it a day to remember.
The 2024 Tiger Tracks event showcased spirited competition among teams called “houses,” which students were grouped into before the competition. The Green House took home the trophy in Kindergarten, the Blue House secured the top honors in Grades 1 and 4, and the Yellow house claimed victories in Grades 2, 3, and 5. The students’ efforts reflected not only their talent but also the camaraderie and sportsmanship that defined the day.
The success of Tiger Tracks wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of the organizing team. Coaches Kyle and Pooya, along with Mme. Adeline worked together seamlessly to ensure the day ran smoothly. A special thank you goes to Dr. Matthew Boomhower, Elementary School Principal for being an energetic and engaging emcee throughout the event.
A big thank you also goes to the specialist teachers, who managed the events with enthusiasm and care. Parents played an important role as well, ensuring their children arrived in the correct class colors, adding to the festive atmosphere. Even the weather cooperated, staying just right—not too wet, not too hot.
Tiger Tracks 2024 was not just about competing but about building a sense of community. The teamwork, dedication, and joy on display embodied the true spirit of the school! Head of School Robert Cody said,”We are excited to see these young tigers grow and develop through dedicated training, staying inspired by health and wellness as they prepare to compete on our high school teams in both local and international tournaments!”
