Curiosity to Action: M’KIS Grade 5 Students Shine at PYP Exhibition 2025

By: Jade Gardner, Grade 5 Teacher

On Thursday, 15 May and Friday, 16 May, 2025, our Grade 5 students at M’KIS proudly showcased their learning journeys during the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Exhibition 2025. With the theme “Curiosity to Action,” this year’s Exhibition was a true celebration of student voice, passion, and growth — where personal interests and big ideas came to life.

Over the past nine weeks, students explored topics they were deeply curious about. Some raised awareness about protecting endangered animals or the importance of native plants in our environment. Others shared their passion for creative expression through graffiti art, or explored the history and meaning behind national flags. No matter the focus, each student followed their questions, conducted research, connected with experts, and found unique ways to take action and share their learning with others.

During the Exhibition Showcase, families, teachers, and peers visited Sports Hall 1 to experience interactive displays, student-led activities, original creations, and thoughtful presentations. What stood out was not only the variety of topics but also the confidence and pride our students showed as they shared their ideas. Throughout the journey, they demonstrated the IB Learner Profile attributes — becoming inquirers, communicators, risk-takers, and caring learners who are ready to make an impact in their own unique ways.

We are incredibly proud of our Grade 5 students for turning their curiosity into action and for the passion, dedication, and creativity they brought to their projects. Their work is a reminder that when young people follow their interests and share them with the world, amazing things can happen.
