Welcome… and thank you for your interest in Elementary School at M’KIS. Our dedicated and talented team of teachers, specialists and assistants are committed to preparing our Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade students to be life-long learners and responsible citizens in an ever-changing world by promoting the M’KIS School Mission, Beliefs, and the 10 IB Learner Profiles. Through our research-based, developmentally appropriate curricular program, and the use of up-to-date resources and highly qualified teachers, we are committed to developing each child’s mind, body and character. We are proud to say that our school’s administration, faculty, and families are dedicated to providing our students with a world-class education where growing and learning are a daily occurrence. About Mr. Spence – Our Elementary School Principal
Tom Spence has been an educator for 27 years and is currently serving his third year as the Elementary School Principal at Mont’Kiara International School. In addition to fifteen years as an elementary school teacher, Mr. Spence previously spent four years as the Primary School Principal at Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia, three years as the Elementary School Principal of Round Meadow Elementary in Calabasas, California and two years as the Coordinator of Teacher Support Programs for Las Virgenes Unified School District in California. He earned his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from California State University of Northridge and his Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.
