The Middle School

The middle school years, grades six to eight, are a time of exploration.

In middle school, students are just starting to know themselves, their friends and the world around them in a deeper and more meaningful way. Accordingly, the middle school program at M'KIS is designed to guide and support students through this dynamic transitional period.

Students are exposed to a wider range of subject matter and curricula, while being encouraged to ask higher-level questions that require more sophisticated thinking skills.

Middle schoolers love the options they now have before them, from the introduction of elective choices on their schedules, to the ability to choose their own food in the M'KIS Cafe each day. Middle schoolers are equally fond of the annual three-day Malaysian Studies trips – for many, this exciting experience is their first time away from family!

Although our middle school shares the same campus with elementary and high school, we have been ever-mindful to develop a distinct middle school philosophy and program to meet the needs of students. A focus on making connections academically, developing organizational skills and greater independence, as well as providing opportunity for personal expression, are fundamentals of the growing middle school program a M'KIS.

The High School

Our high school program equips graduates with the ability to access top universities worldwide.

In accomplishing this, the high school has been a source of immense pride for the school. M'KIS offers two distinctive and rigorous high school programs, the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, and the U.S. high school diploma.

The dynamic and globally-recognized IB diploma has become a cornerstone of the school’s program. Through IB, our graduates aspire to the highest academic standards, while fulfilling the global vision of being well-rounded individuals that is at the heart of our mission.

Our U.S. high school program offers a rich selection of academic and non-academic programs that meets their needs and interests, while being offered an extra-curricular selection that provides many distinct opportunities. Whether a student is destined for business, the arts, law, science, research or other exciting fields, our high school program gives graduates the tools for future success.
