Mont’Kiara International School (M’KIS) of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of a Head of School, with duties to begin in July 2023.

ABOUT M’KIS

M’KIS, established in 1994, serves the expatriate community of Kuala Lumpur.  It has a current student population of close to 600 students from 51 countries, and serves students from Pre-school through Grade 12.  

M’KIS is a college preparatory school.  Over 80 qualified and dynamic faculty members from across the globe and more than 60 support staff help provide a distinguished international education.

M’KIS is a proprietary school governed by a Board of Governors, and operates in full compliance with the relevant statutes of the country of Malaysia.

M’KIS conducts a North American International curriculum.

Campus and Facilities

Covering over 8 acres of land, M’KIS offers excellent purpose-built facilities and to name a few, fully air-conditioned classroom space for the entire spectrum of the learning program, a 25-meter swimming pool and early childhood pool, sports fields for PE, recess and after-school activities, 2 sports halls, a gymnasium, a futsal court, a dance studio, climbing walls, science labs, STEM lab, a 440-seat theater, library, music rooms, product design lab, health office, etc.

The Position

The Head of School serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the School, responsible for the overall organization and its leadership.

Preferred Professional Qualifications 

1. Masters degree in educational administration, educational leadership or equivalent
2. Valid senior administrative certification from a competent jurisdiction
3. At least 5 years’ experience as a Head of School
4. Demonstrated competence in a senior position as an educational administrator

Salary and Benefits

The salary offered will be competitive and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.  Benefits include a generous housing subsidy, car, annual home leave benefits, medical and life insurance, tuition fee at M’KIS for designated dependant children aged 3-18, work permit and dependant passes.

3. 1 page of Statement of Educational Philosophy
4. A minimum of 3 recent testimonials
5. A list of up to 5 referees with names and positions; one of whom must be your current Board Chair
