Gymnastics

The Course

Emphasizing the value of play, the objectives of the Active Child and GYMEX programs are Fun-fitness, Sports Basics and Self-Confidence!

Basic sport:  Gymnastics develop physical attributes that are perfect stepping stones for other sports – flexibility, strength, agility and balance.

Coordination:  A keener sense of dynamic balance and coordinated movements.

Confidence:  As a child moves from easy to more complex skills, he/she develops a sense of accomplishment and confidence in his/her abilities.

Goal Orientation:  The progressive nature of gymnastics teaches the child the purpose of setting goals for his/her efforts … a valuable lesson at any age.

Discipline and Organization:  Children learn that in order to improve, certain things have to be done in a certain way each time if it’s going to work.  They learn that discipline and organization can lead to success!
