MYGO and Philippine Parents Fundraise to Support Victims of Typhoon Sendong
(February 17, 2012)
Our wonderful MYGO students have worked very hard these last couple weeks to raise money to go to the International Red Cross in support of Philippine families impacted by Typhoon Sendong. They were assisted by our school’s Philippine parents in this important cause. The student efforts raised almost RM1500, and the parents recently conducted a Persian rug auction off campus to raise additional funds for this cause.

Elementary School Helping Hands Bake Sale
(February 17, 2012)
Under the guidance of Ms. Yogan and Ms. Hynes some of our Elementary students have worked over the course of this school year to reach out to an orphanage in Kuala Lumpur. On Tuesday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) they had a successful Bake Sale in the lower courtyard, where we managed to raise RM1511 for this group of children. They have also visited the orphanage on several Saturdays to interact with the children there. Congratulations to this group of involved citizens.

M’KIS Teacher Receives International Honor
(October 14, 2011)

The Project Cambodia team have been awarded a Gold Medal by the Government of Cambodia in recognition for all the support given to SCADP (an organization which looks after street children in Cambodia).

Our students, led by Mrs. Menton since 2005 have been consistent in their support of street children, either via their annual trip or through year-long fundraising activities in which they are involved. All the money raised in support of the Cambodian street children is taken directly to Cambodia and is used to purchase, among other things, educational materials, stationery, rice, medicines, school bags, et cetera.

Congratulations to Mrs. Menton and to her dedicated group of Project Cambodia students.
